How We Interview

We believe that the best indicator of how you will manage a professional situation in the future is how you handled a similar situation in the past. That’s why our interview process involves asking you questions about different situations you may have found yourself in and how you handled them. You should prepare by reviewing past work experiences and practicing your response to potential questions about them before the interview.

Our hiring staff identifies the needs of each position available and develops a comprehensive list of questions designed to help us find the most qualified person for the job. You should research the position you’re interviewing for and have an understanding of the skills and responsibilities of that job. Then, spend some time preparing thoughtful and articulate answers outlining why and how you are able to meet those demands. Understand your strengths and be prepared to address any areas you feel may be weak. It is always best to use real-life examples of how you handled certain situations to illustrate your experience.

The following are some examples of questions you might be asked during an interview:

  • Tell me about a time when you were resistant to change even though you knew it was necessary. What did you do? What was the outcome?
  • Tell me about a time you openly accepted accountability for a mistake that was made. How do you drive this same level of accountability in your organization?
  • Describe a time when you had to go more than halfway to communicate with a “problem person.”
  • Give me an example of a time when you had to be persuasive in getting your idea across, even when the odds were against you. What did you do? What was the outcome?
  • Give me an example of how you identify your own personal developmental areas. Be specific.

Interview Tips

  • Dress appropriately. Business attire is recommended even in a business casual environment.

  • Come well-rested. You may meet with many different people over the course of your interview.
  • Remember, an interview is a chance for you to get to know us as well as for us to get to know you, so relax, listen, ask questions and learn.
